Dick Russell chose to leave his position as Director of Operations for Goodall Rubber Co. in mid-1992 to better utilize his 17 years of experience in the hose and fitting industry. His wife Marti had an extensive background and 15 years experience in the pneumatic industry. As such, on August 1, 1992, they founded Dimar Enterprises and subsequently incorporated the company on April 1, 1994. On November 1, 2002, the name was changed to Dimar Valve & Fitting, Inc. to better reflect the focus of the company.
Dimar Valve & Fitting, Inc. currently consists of seven employees, including sales staff and warehouse employees. In addition, the company also utilizes the talents of a contract sales/service technician when the need arises regarding the Rexroth products. Our employees have extensive experience with the hose, fitting, and industrial supply business; we are a stocking distributor for Hy-lok instrumentation tube fittings & valves. In addition, we stock a large inventory of new surplus Swagelok, Parker, SSP & Gyrolok instrumentation fittings, including pipe, valves, etc. Dimar also handles Rexroth Pneumatics (formerly WABCO-FPD), Eaton/Airflex/Fawick, Schrader, and Bendix-Westinghouse products.
Customer service is a critical requirement for any company to not only maintain its' market share, but to continue to grow as well. The 1st priority for Dimar is customer service. Phone calls are answered IN PERSON between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm CST; people are not greeted by a machine, nor are they advised no one is available to address their requirements for anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Quotations and orders are handled immediately, and are not allowed to sit on anyone's desk for extended periods of time with no response.
